"Aladdin" on Broadway paid loving tribute to Robin Williams, "one of the greatest entertainers of all time," with a powerful performance of "Friend Like Me."

As fans know, Williams memorably portrayed the Genie in the beloved 1992 Disney film, earning the admiration of viewers both young and old.

James Monroe Iglehart, who won the Tony last year for portraying Genie in the stage production said, "We want to give our hearts and our prayers and our thoughts to his family, because he’s a husband and a father first, entertainer second."

With that, he and the cast led the audience in a group sing-along.

You might want to grab some tissues before watching — the video is below.

Also in Williams' honor, Broadway dimmed its lights on Wednesday night, and Disney itself created the tribute photo seen below.

The text reads:

We're deeply saddened by the loss of Robin Williams, a wonderfully gifted man who touched our hearts and never failed to make us laugh. An incredible actor and a comedic genius, Robin will always be remembered for bringing some of the world's favorite characters to life, from his zany alien on ABC's "Mork & Mindy" to the irascible genie in Disney's Aladdin.

He was a true Disney Legend, a beloved member of our family, and he will be sorely missed. We join Robin's friends and fans everywhere in mourning, and offer our thoughts and condolences to his family during this difficult time.
