Black Friday Could Have Better Digital Sales Than Cyber Monday

Retail experts are predicting an unusual holiday shopping trend for this year.  Shelley Bransten with Salesforce says this prediction is based on insights from 500 million global shoppers across 53 countries.  She said traditionally Black Friday has been the big "store day," but now shoppers are purchasing more items from their desktops and mobile phones.  Bransten said the stakes have raised for retailers and they are realizing that consumers demand the efficiency and convenience of digital shopping.  Bransten also says consumers are more informed than ever before, adding that they've done their research on the products.  Looking ahead, December 11th will also be a great discount day.  By December 3rd about half of Americans are going to have their holiday shopping done and by December 5th about 80% of Americans will have their shopping done.

Bransten says increased use of technology is has bolstered the digital shopping movement.
