Trump Administration Petitions Supreme Court Over Travel Ban

The Trump administration wants the Supreme Court to allow all its latest travel ban to go into effect completely, pending appeal.  Different versions of the ban have been blocked by courts this year.  The current ban, blocked by a court in Hawaii, restricts travel from 8 countries, including North Korea, Iran, Venezuela, Somalia and Yemen.  The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals subsequently allowed part of the ban to take effect, provided foreign nationals have a legitimate relationship with someone in the U.S.

The White House asked the Supreme Court Monday night to allow the ban to go fully into effect until the 9th Circuit hears arguments December 9th.
