Carmen Fighting Bear was found dead due to exposure. at the age of 29

Early morning hours March 1, 2017, the body of Carmen Fighting Bear, 29, was found dead near Parshall, ND. The North Dakota Medical Examiner’s Office determined through autopsy that Fighting Bear died due to exposure. There is no threat to the citizens of the Parshall area.
This incident is currently under investigation by the Three Affiliated Tribes Law Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the US Attorney’s Office. Law enforcement officials are following up on information and all new leads will be diligently pursued. Anybody with information on Ms. Fighting Bear’s whereabouts prior to this incident are asked to call Lead Detective Sam Lincoln at 701-421-0784 or the Minot branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation at 701-852-5071.
